A.M. postmark (Mills County 1879-) on unreduced cover, corner
and edge wear, to Washington, D.C., 1883 receiver on reverse. If a
money order was enclosed in a letter, the postmaster was supposed to
use a dater that included the letters "MOB". Scarce. |

stamp receiver). Cover has a central vertical bend. The #216 has
weak blind double perfs at top partially removed (not a fault). Colorful
and attractive cover. |

killer with matching PIERPONT, OHIO MAR 12 1894 postmark
on VF intact orange printed POWELL BROS., SHADELAND, CRAWFORD
CO., PA. response envelope, company's light purple receiving
hand stamp at left. The Powell Brothers operated an immense stock
farm of national renown in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. Great
star fancy cancel. On cover fancy cancels of all types are
scarce on the Columbian issues. |
