The cover back bears a detailed
picture of the vendor's warehouse ("DR. SMITH'S CENTRAL FAMILY
MEDICINE DEPOT") surrounded by more extensive claims of the
oil's curative powers:
"The New Theory Vindicated!!"; "APPROVED BY 300 PHYSICIANS AND
MANY EMINENT DEALERS IN All parts of the Country." A
wonderful example of early medicine advertising. |
