The Masonic Mutual Relief Association member
notification,
WASHINGTON DC JUNE 1 (1875) original postmark, JUNE 28 on the #156. Card
is short paid 2¢, since 1st class 3¢ postage was required for remailing.
Apparently this short pay was accepted.
The remailing of the early first issue postal cards was rather uncommon
and the 1st class postage requirement probably not yet well recognized. |

sent to Quincy, IL. This terrific killer is unlisted
in Berg.
Card has a light crease and tear at bottom right. This is, nevertheless, a key
Chicago blue killer on card.
I do not believe that more than three examples exist of this rare
fancy killer.
