9879 (Milgram 352, tracing illustrated p. 228)  GALLIPOLIS & KANAWHA REGULAR TRI-WEEKLY PACKET, D.M. Sechler (Ohio and Kanawha Rivers), VF fancy illustrated (rooster) oval hand stamp on cover to Red House, KY., reduced at left, F-VF and rare, this may be the only known example of this marking and is the listing example in Milgram. $325
9888 (Milgram 434)  U.S. Mail Steamship FAH KEE (Atlantic Ocean), VF shield hand stamp on back flap of 1867 folded letter from St. Jago de Cuba to New York, Brooks & Co. dated hand stamp, postmarked bold New York "Steamship 10" hand stamp on front.  The “Fah Kee” was a steamship under contract to the Post Office Department but applied its hand stamp for documentation purpose. Very Fine and fresh. $150

9881 (Milgram 448)  PACKET FARMER (Alabama River), VF and unusual multi-lined fancy oval hand stamp with internal opposing leaves on intact cover, mended tear at right, F-VF, attractive strike of this oval hand stamp, quite scarce. $500
9882 (Milgram 473, illustrated p. 283)  FRANK LYON (Alabama and later Mississippi Rivers), VF red oval illustrated hand stamp picturing a lion on 1852 folded letter to Mobile, Very Fine and scarce, a lovely example of this fancy marking which may well be the finest known. $350
9883 (Milgram 497)  STEAMER GENL. LAFAYETTE (Ohio River), complete red oval hand stamp on 1848 folded letter from New Orleans to Evansville, Ind, manuscript "Gen. Lafayette" and "10" rate, Very Fine and choice. SOLD
9886 (Milgram 935, illustrated p. 493)  STEAMER MONTPELIER Oct 15 1863 (Providence River and Narragansett Bay), bold and complete shield hand stamp on small, intact hand carried cover to "Present" with original "Complimentary Pass" of the vessel enclosure.  An extremely fine cover, marking and rare matching enclosure. $350

9887 (Milgram 1214, illustrated p. 617)  From STEAMER ROCKAWAY (Mississippi River), VF red oval on intact stampless cover to Middlebury, Vt., postmarked partial red New Orleans cds, packet marking over red rate hand stamp (which appears to be "Way 11 Cents"), tiny tear at top right.  Very Fine and attractive, this is the only recorded example. $275
