9384 #210, F+, sound, ellipse and BOSTON MASS FEB 20 85 postmark on immaculate, intact blue & red advertising cover for D. L. Guernsey promoting investment services. Guernsey was a noted Boston publisher. Very scarce. $60
9369 #213, VF, sound, KANSAS CITY MO. FEB 3 1889 postmark tied to VF intact advertising cover with terrific illustration of a racing hound, "If I'm not caught in 5 7/8 days, I'll return to EGN EW and WINGATE REAL ESTATE". Great dog image cover. $60
9375 #210, fine, sound, tied by purple HAILEY IDAHO [territory] DEC 17 1885 postmark and target killer (Blaine County 1881-) on intact cover to Rochelle, IL. Nice early territorial usage. $25
j0027 #206 pair, VF, sound, canceled by a VF+ simplex strike of commercial rubber fancy shield killer (Cole SH-126) with VF-XF strike of DICKSON'S CROSS ROADS, LA. OCT 29 1885 triple ring postmark (DPO Bossier County, 1871-86, Helbock R6 scarcity) on cover to Shreveport, 6mm reduction at left. Contains original letter. A great combination of very scarce Louisiana discontinued post office and fancy killer. $75
8912 #145, #146, edge faults, tied by two VF-XF strikes of purple open 4-bar shield killer (Whitfield 1437 unattributed) with WATERVILLE, KS, MAR 31 postmark (Marshall County 1868-) on cover, reduced at left, file folds, age spots at right.  Great and obviously very scarce color fancy cancel. $20

j0036 #158, fine, sound, tied by an XF strike of 8-segment, 4 circle target killer duplexed to XF PUTNAM CT. FEB 6 postmark (ca. 1874-75) on fine intact cover to Thompson, CT. A very nice example of this killer from Putnam, a town well known for many highly collectible fancy cancels. $50
j0034 Two VF intact covers from FLORENCE, IOWA (DPO Benton County, 1863-80, R3 scarcity), each with different fancy killer. Both covers bear the same magenta FLORENCE IOA. postmark. The MAR 15 (1876 pencil docketing) cover has a matching magenta "P D" duplexed killer, unlisted in major references. The later APR 23 (1878 pencil docketing) cover bears a separate strike of a black star in circle killer. Stamps on both covers (#158) are fine and sound. A pretty pair of Iowa covers. $50

8681 #210, fine, sound, tied by a VF-XF strike of purple RICE LAKE, WIS. M. O. B. OCT 20 1887 postmark (Barron County 1872-) on cover to Sand Creek (back stamp receiver). Scarce use of Money Order Business cancellation to postmark mail. Cover with 6mm reduction at left. SOLD

7926 #158, fine, tied by an XF strike of a large "OK" fancy killer on cover with a lightly struck, unlisted ca.1875 MANCHESTER GREEN AGT., NOV 29 RPO postmark on unreduced cover to New Jersey, small edge faults and minor toning at left. There was a Manchester Green post office (Connecticut DPO, 1886-1943).  "OK" killers on railway covers are rather scarce. $35
7780 #158, fine, sound, tied by VF+ strike of large Christian cross killer (Cole CSO-12), OBERLIN, O., SEP 14 postmark on XF intact cover to Saratoga Springs, NY. A very attractive example of this Ohio fancy cancel. $25
